Maria-Francesca’s artistic portfolio involves vibrant, contrasting palettes, often juxtaposing bright, dramatic colors with darkened tones for an eclectic balance of depth, emotion, unpredictability and exquisite beauty. Her work is a reflection of her ambitious heart and unwavering love for creation, mingled with inspiration from a handful of diverse artists and distinct styles. These influences range from the rhythmic panache of Michael Israel and the master impressionism methods by Royo and Kerry Hallam, to the photo-realistic works of Thomas Arvid and the spontaneous abstracts by Henry Asencio.
A graduate of Sarasota’s Out-of-Door Academy (ODA), Maria-Francesca has chosen to pursue a career in art and is continuing her education at Winthrop University. She was among the top 10% of the 2014 graduating class at ODA and earned membership in both the National Honor Society and the Cum Laude Society. In 2014 Maria-Francesca was honored as the recipient of the prestigious Head’s Choice Art Award for artistic excellence. Her recent participation in regional art shows have been received with rave reviews and a number of purchase inquiries.
Giving back to the community is important to Maria-Francesca Massaro. In 2014 she donated her creative talents to We Care Manatee, a nonprofit healthcare services provider in Bradenton, Florida. Her Legacy Tree mural welcomes patients in the organization’s front lobby.
